The War in Ukraine: One Year In
While information coming out of the Kremlin should rarely be trusted, one thing is certain: Russian President Vladimir Putin never expected his assault on Ukraine would last this long. Not only has Ukraine put up a far greater fight than expected, but President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has become an international hero, with the global community rallying to his side. However, we're now reaching a point in the war that spans beyond most analysts' predictions of what would happen. What's next?

Join Claremont McKenna and the Mgrublian Center for Human Rights to discuss this important topic. We will be joined by Wendy Lower, director of the center, John K. Roth Professor of History, and George R. Roberts Fellow, along with special guest Anna Romandash. Anna is a Mgrublian Center research affiliate and an award-winning journalist from Ukraine with extensive experience in Europe, the Middle East, and the USA. When the invasion began, Anna became a voice for what was happening on the ground. Her work has been praised worldwide as she was recently named a Media Freedom Ambassador of Ukraine.
