May the Fourth Be with You: Exploring the Future of Science at CMC
"Punch it!" That's what Han Solo famously said to Chewbacca as he put the Millennium Falcon into hyperspeed in The Empire Strikes Back. While the prospect of flying through space to reach uncharted galaxies feels far-fetched, it's much closer than we might assume. This year, the Webb Telescope "took us" to places we've never seen before, snapping pictures of forming stars and potentially habitable planets.

Participating in this type of science—exploring questions that don't fall within the traditional bounds of science classroom disciplines—is what CMC had in mind when it announced the new Robert Day Sciences Center. Join us as Ran Libeskind-Hadas, founding chair of the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences, discusses how CMC is exploring new frontiers in its own right. How will a CMC science education look different from what you might find at other liberal arts colleges?
